ICHS Alumni & Missionary Intern
to Tanzania and Burundi
A Note from Hannah:
"This past year, I wrestled to fit all my incoherent thoughts and dreams into a coherent plan. As I considered colleges, careers, and calling, God began to make it clear that He was leading me into a season of greater trust to serve on the mission field and be mentored by faithful believers who daily submit to God's calling.
At the end of August 2022, I will fly to Tanzania to serve as an intern with Mavuno Village, a ministry that cares for vulnerable children. I will teach English and serve alongside a missionary as she establishes new counseling services. In January 2023, I will relocate to Kibuye, Burundi, to intern with another mission organization named Serge. There I will care for missionary children while their parents serve God through medical work. I will also teach a class at the elementary school, support hospital staff, and participate in English-French conversations so I can learn French and give the French-speaking staff an opportunity to practice their English. Lastly, I will represent my alma mater, International Christian High School, to identify and help any potential Tanzanian or Burundian students who would be interested in partnering with ICHS."
